Description
Trading Application Support
Our client is seeking a candidate that understands the energy trading business and a trade’s lifecycle and how it would flow through a system. Someone that can easily setup reference data, troubleshoot trade entry issues, crunch numbers and figure out position and pl issues, address cash flow, settlement and invoicing problems and be able to troubleshoot end of day issues. This person needs to be more business oriented and less technical.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide both functional and technical support of multiple, proprietary, Windows based Client/Server Commodities Trading Software products to global clientele
Liaise with internal development teams to troubleshoot software problems and identify solutions
Help maintain client specific support environments, including upgrades to databases and application servers.
Assist with application unit and regression testing.
Document client support issues via call tracking software.
Compile reports and statistics relating to client call history
Position Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role at an ETRM software vendor is STRONGLY preferred
Solid business experience in the commodities/ derivatives trading industry
Strong initiative, organization, and excellent analysis/problem solving skills required
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and work well in a team environment
Solid technical background with a minimum of 3 or more years experience analyzing, testing, or developing client-server based and web-based products
A solid understanding of client server software development and object oriented programming concepts
Knowledge of MS Office applications
Knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL
